So last night I was bad.

I should have studied more. I should have stayed home instead of staying up so late watching movies. Cause there was a test today.

AAAAH TEST!

So I looked over my notes last night REAL quick (mostly equations and names and whatnot) all while trying to maintain the type of breathing I do as I meditate. Because in my head, meditate = to study upon. And HEY! I REAAAAALLLLY needed to study.

So I breathed in and out and stilled everything but my eyes and brain gobbling up notes.

And today, as I took the test, I relaxed, (which almost made me fall asleep, ack tired!) breathed in, out, again, and focused.

And I think I did really well today on the test.

Without the rushing, I think this type of studying could be good for me.

Okies, so yesterday I see the little chick who I've been talking to across the way and this guy she's walking with, who I assumed was her pastor, by the ba-DANG cross on his chest, suddenly asks her to help carry something he has been toting along well enough before she spotted me. Need less to say, I don't talk to her yesterday via distracting pastor.
Today she is talking to some kids with her pastor there as before when I spot her. She starts approaching me all hopefull like when he catches my eye and turns and says something to her. She kinda has a guilty look on her face while they have a quick discussion (I say discussion because "conversation" is too light a word for the intensity of the quick seconds). Then, of course, they both head my way.

I'm thinking, shit, reinforcements, I don't quite know how to deal with this!So I plan on just brutally ignoring him and open with a "hey, how are you today?" to the chick. Before she replies, though, the man sticks out his hand and says "Hi! I'm pastor Mike! I heard you have a few questions!" in the "I'm a grownup and in charge" voice.
This, needless to say, I took offense at.
So I turn coldly at him and reply "No, I don't have any questions. All mine about christianity were answered ages ago."
I then turn to try to tell the chick, who is cowering by the way, that I'll see her withOUT her chaperone tomorrow when he butts in with the oh so old line of, "sit down and go over the bible with me! I'd like to discuss some GOOD NEWS that I think you haven't heard about. He has one of those breaded, battered, and friend bibles that magically fit into the back pockets of rednecks everywhere. I could see him working his way up to "Save this poor misguided soul."
I cut him off bygesturing to the HUGE FRIKKIN CROSS with the word PRAY all over it that "Pastor Mike"'s other minions were waving around and telling him that he needs to reread his bible. Especially the phrase about not praying as the philistines do. All while smiling as sweetly as the best baptist churchgirl.
Him sufficiently flustered, I turn to the chica and tell her I'll see her tomorrow. And walk away. Cause any longer and my ass would have been roasted over teh Fires of God.
I'm kinda proud of myself
So I think that either she'll sneak awayfrom Pastor Mike and I'll see her at another point in my route to classes, or I'll never see her again. I almost feel bad for Pastor Mike. He can't hide her from the world forever. I don't want to destroy her world view, I just think that it'll be challenged sooner or later. And it's best to face that challenge with a good steady two feet and an open mind.

So yeah........

I'm trying to realize that I have depressive condition. I hope it is hormonally induced, and can be treated such. Because that would be so easy. Figure out the right birth control? Easy. I don't want to be crazy. I'm not knocking all you crazy people out there, I just know that it's tuff, with a double F.

I'm doing research on PCOS (google it if you don't know) which may have something to do with the mood swings and such. Again, I hope it does.

I'm also trying to meditate regularly

I'm wondering if I need to talk to a guy/gal with a degree.

It's complicated.

It's hard. There are times when I feel normal. Like I remember being. Other times I feel like crying over issues that should not make me cry.

So yeah.........

School and Evangelicalism

So I've been back in school for three days now, and already I've warped someone's mind.

Yesterday I was trolling around campus looking for free food (cause there's always free food) and I spotted a sign with FIRE OF GOD MINISTRIES all over it. And under the sign, lo, for there were hot dogs.

And those hot dogs smelled gooooooooooooood.

Now, I timed the acquisition of said hot dog so I would encounter the least amount of preachyness, but I was not good enough. This cute little chick with no unseemly cleavage in a very attractive outfit that was not at all scandalous bounced up and asked "I'm SO GLAD you decided to share with us! Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus?"

And I did a bad thing.

I replied "Yeah. But we broke up. All his psycho ex's were really getting to me. /shrugs/ It didn't work out for me. But that's ok. I'm getting my spiritual needs fulffilled other ways. I'm glad it's working out for you!" And walked away with my newly fixed hot dog 'cause I couldn't believe what just FLEW OUT OF MY MOUTH LIKE MONKEYS!!!!! The poor thing was standing there gaping. I felf bad.

So today I was walking through, again, looking for free food and the same little chick approached me. Looking kinda sheepish, she asked me bashfully, why? Why am I not Christian anymore? She was completely honest, so I was honest right back.

I explained simply that I liked girls. Could even say I've loved some. And the bible, which is the Word of God, tells me that that's a sin. And I don't think it's sinful to love.

She blinked at me. Then asked if I walked by this way every weekday. I said yes, I do. After class. She nodded and said she'd speak to me tomorrow then wandered off with a confused look on her face.

I almost feel bad for her pastor.

It's been a while

So it's been about forever since I posted at all. But hey, keeping in touch is hard, and perhaps this will help some. /shrug/

I'm still in Gainesville. Still enjoying it pretty well. I'm in school again, and this time I plan to stay in till it's done. It's kinda terrifying, but hell, it's only class. I'm also going to be taking a certification test to be a pharmacy technician. Yes people, I get to play with your pills. Hopefully.

I think I've matured since I last posted here with any frequency. I've learned a lot about myself. I'm dealing with the things I'm dissatisfied with. And in the spirit of that, I'd like to send out a call to those with a GHFC membership to join me in gym going! I'm going to try to start going on Wednesdays around 1pm. If it's a matter of timing, gimme a comment or something and maybe we can work something out. It's more fun to work out with a friend or group of friends so we can all kvetch over working out together. I plan on upping the frequency of gym going until I'm there roughly 3-4 times a week.

Also, in healthyness, I'm looking for recipes of SOMETHING small and munchy that I can eat in class. I'd like it to be semi healthy, and finger food. It looks bad to eat a sandwich in class.

I am blessed to have an uncle who does awesome Indian dishes that I don't know half the names for, but practally inhale. I've grown addicted to falafels.

I can play about anything I set my mind to, but I have actually studied both guitar and classical piano. I can not quite kill your ears in violin, flute, and saxaphone.
